My cousin showed me this game and I got into it. It has multiplayer so the fellow members of slap-gamig can face each other. Maybe make something big out of this?

There is a thing called "Google". I heard that if you type something in the search bar thingy on it, it will show thousands of results about the thing that you typed. I think if you type osu into it, you should get tens of thousands of results. However, some people are lazy (Like me) so just for you, I put a video of this guy playing a song. Try to guess where the song is from specifically what game and what's it called :).

it is not guitar hero at all! Here are the main reasons why it's NOT guitar hero:
1. You use your mouse clicks to click the notes or you can change it to pressing keys on your keyboard
2. It's better than guitar hero because you can edit songs, make your own beatmaps to a song you like, or adjust the song with the modifications given to you.
3. There have been big tournaments for this according to my cousin. On top of that, there an infinite number of songs to choose from and more are made every day.
4. There are 3 things in osu that you do: Hit the note, slide the note, or spin the note. You hit the regular notes, you hold the left click on the slider and follow the ball to the end and if it hits an arrow, it will go back, and the spinner has you spinning as many circles around the center as you can.
5. osu and guitar hero are spelled differently.

In short: Osu is not the same as guitar hero and osu is better than guitar hero in more ways than one.

I like this game and all, but why is it called osu...
Literally put it in dictionary.com and the definition of osu is apparently an Acronym for many things. So yeah, basically not an actual real word with no meaning so why is this AWSM game called osu and not something else like "Note Clicker" or something like that?

Actually, the name "Osu" is a Japanese word, which has a lot of meanings.

The verbs "osu" are: -
"押す" to push
"推す" to infer or to recommend (as in "推しメン")

"雄" male (animal) is also pronounced as "osu."

The informal greeting like "hi" or "hey" is
おす osu
おっす ossu

This is originally used in the karate or judo world as a greeting.
And used as a fighting yell.
So, this is only used by men to address those your age or younger.

Nowadays, however, it sounds old-fashioned, and rarely used unless they are older people or do karate.

I thought it looked like a Japanese game - their known for making music note/rhythm games. :3

Also, the song is a remix version of "Escape from the city" from Sonic Adventure 2 (seen my GF play this level and play the music far to many times)

thank you Sparkles for telling why it was named that. I knew it was a Japanese game too, but I couldn't find out at all why it was called osu so now I know so thanks.

I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to Japanese... I'm such a fan of their culture and creations and such, heh

I went to Japan a couple of years ago and found it to be the most amazing country I have ever been to. Culturally it's just outstanding. It is such a beautiful country. In terms of food it's occasionally very weird but meh I'll eat anything. I do however say, don't go there if you are tall. I am 6"4-6"5 and where I live is very much average but oh my was a giant out there...

Yeah, the Japanese are a little short. But with their country's beauty, culture, foods and products, you gotta forgive them for that xD

I'll admitt some things that are run and done there I'd question, but that's just part of their culture and how things are done. I really wanna go there one day.
