I might have to take you up on that offer. I found out that sponges can clear spaces in water (Mind you, it can be briefed easily and therefor: GLASS IS A MUST). But the construction will begin within a day or two if anyone is interested. It won't be terribly big just yet due to the high costs of glass, beer, bacon and slaves. :)
So the theme will be atlantis? If so I'm in. Better get my sand pale.

From yesterday's AMA on reddit with Jeb, underwater city's/mob's are currently being looked into,
but are not the easiest thing to implement due to the API and underwater bugs.
e.g. making each water block "dissappear" and "reappear" when mobs swim through it, just general stuff like that,
Is this done or can i still help i would love to see it if it is done though.
I've got a little bit of experience building underwater. It's not SO bad... well, no, it's pretty hard, but it's not that complex once you get the hang of it.
I'd be up for helping if this is still something people'd like to do.
