Flint and Steel bypass

I was watching a guide for a fireplace hidden door, and it used a dispenser with flint and steel, I was thinking about the server and tought you guys might have missed it. So I went on my private island and tested it and you can light fire fro a flint and steel this way, as I assume this is a bug, here is my report ^^ (tried lava bucket too, didn't work)

uhm can the creative world be excempt from the flint and steel thingy ? i use it to generate smoke would love to keep it working if possible and in the creative world people can place fire already so ???
