For those not knowing the news mojang is bought by Microsoft. And the founders are leaving mojang. What's you're thoughts about this?

    The post on their website.

    Minecraft over 1 month?
Highly doubt it will be this bad but I don't see much good in all of this. The 3 founders have abandoned ship. Add all the Bukkit drama to this -> Lot of bad news.

I get why Notch and the others did it, but for the "sanity and other projects" reason? He moaned and complained that other people "sold out" to bigger companies, yet he goes round and does it himself. Sure, it's to get out of "the spotlight" completely (since he hasn't had any input to MC for a long time now) but has that done him any good? Really? He'll forever go down as the the guy who became a hypocrite and sell out to many. I'm just mad that he's lied for a good while now. He may not have meant to, but it's turned out that way.

If MC was my project, I would never let it go. I would be the one with the final input. I wouldn't have left. MC is huge and popular - and makes lot's of money all on it's own. Why walk away from that? If Notch just wanted to make programs, then he should have just done that in another compamy - I know he never wanted to be popular, but everything has that chance, and he knew that.

I just really hope Microsoft don't screw this up. I keep being told by people that the way Mojang has been going right now this would do MC a lot of good, but Microsoft haven't really done a lot of "good" with things they've bought out lately, that my faith is a little low with them right now. It's still to early to know how this is gonna work out, so only time will tell how the future of Minecraft will go. Let's hope it's a good future!

In the end, it doesn't matter how I feel about this - If this is what Notch wanted, then I hope he's happy and does well. I just hope that at the end of it all, he doesn't live to regret giving up such a huge project that's had such a huge impact on his life.

So despite my feelings on this, I wish you well Notch! o/

(Also, again, just my own thoughts and feelings on this. And this doesn't just relate to this, I feel this way about anything that ends up like this. So don't take it so seriously, lol)

Now, the other question is... since MC is on Playstation and all that, how will it effect them?
