Just wondering, is the Nvidia GeFOrce GT 520M good? Because its the graphics card my laptop has and I have to turn the graphics down on pretty much all games :L

520 isnt a great card lets put it like that, less powerful than my my 4 generation old 9800GT, it has less cuda cores* and slower clock speeds, and with you having the laptop version its even less power ful than that
9800GT: 112 Cuda Cores
520: 48 Cuda Cores
520M: 48 Cuda Cores, but with slower clock speeds than the standard 520 to keep heat and power consumption down

No Idea what cuda cores are XD
Oh and as a comparison, how good is the ATI Radeon HD 5770? (graphics card in my desktop)

a cuda core is basically just like a core in a processor, but made specifically for graphics, such as calculating the positions of polygons for shapes and such, basically the more the better lol
and the HD5770 is a low mid range card, just like my Geforce 9800GT but is of a newer generation, decent card for its age, i would say itll be showing its age though lol, although not as much as my 9800GT, desperatly needs an upgrade
*edit*
the core count in ATI cards is different to Nvidias way, to get a comparison
times Nvidia cores by 4 to get them relative to ATI cards
or
Divide ATI cores by 4 to get Nvidia lol
so
100 Nvidia cores would roughly be 400 Ati Cores if that helps

I got myself the HD 5770 some months ago when my graphs card broke down - In my opinion for someone who doesn't like to spend ridiculous amounts of cash on a graps card , it's perfect - i run any game on highest settings, from bulletstorm to COD etc.

Me too - but I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 5670 (think there's no difference between those 2 cards).
