Hey guys, since like lets say mid september I've been experiencing lagg/ping spikes that are really over the top, I'd like to ask if theres any way to fix this on my part?
Or did you guys move hosts perhaps?
I'm sure it isn't my computer/internet tho, I can play on that server of CaptainSparklez which is far busier without issues.
(not accusing you guys off anything)
Please help me/Please fix it xD
can't play my favorite server properly atm :c

Almost every 15 mins there is a 12 seconds lag spike. This is due to a bug in Bukkit, sadly we cannot fix this. Just gotta wait till the guys @ bukkit fix it.

could be that it's located closer to your place, meaning there's a better connection, the internet is not one specific place, it's all over, and some parts are far from you while some are close, resulting in longer load time and hard connection

As stoux said, it's a problem between the version of bukkit we run and the version of minecraft were on, it's just something we'll have to wait out for now :)

Again, the 10-15 second lag spikes are the server's cause (as I described above). However the fact that you (as you said earlier) have like 400ms ping is not the server's cause. I live in the same country as you and I'm doing on average 24ms ping.

Yannis, Open a shell and ping the server. If you get package loss/high ping, then it is absolutely your Internet connection and not the server's fault.

Today he's back down to like 20ms ping, so my guess is there were some faults in the connection between him and his isp :P
