Daily quests/challenges

I think adding daily quests/challenges might be a fun idea. Things like Kill X amount of mob Y or Mine X amount of Block Y etc. If you complete one you get some kind of points, and with those point you can claim prices. Things like XP, Money, Staff heads, etc?

I totally support this, but... shouldn't this be implemented and be used in special days, like every weekend or during holidays? making the rewards more special and unique by doing so.
