For those of you interested in being a part of the Slap gaming staff (forums, mc, tf2), here's some advice: Ever since the mc started to grow, we receive a lot of request on becoming an guide/mod/admin/whatever. but what is important to note is that the vast majority of those requests have been accompanied by a lack of initative being shown. Show some initiative and your work will be noticed, along with your attitude and your passion for the community and the chances of us picking you up to help out will be higher. This should really have gone without saying. If you ask for a position or privileges, you reduce the chances of your getting it. You shouldn't have to ask; you demonstrate that you fit the bill and things should fall into line.
TL;DR - Asking for staff whether it be in-game or on the forums results almost always in an instant-rejection with no chance of ever being reconsidered. (Application threads excluded of course.)
We Are Looking For Moderators Right Now!
Before You Can Apply You Need To Have/Be:
> Minecraft Member For At Least 2 Weeks(We Check The Date You Joined The Forum/ Bought VIP)
> Member Of The Slap-Gaming Facebook Group
> Must Have A Microphone And Be On Team Speak 3 Every Time You Are On The Minecraft Server!
If You Apply Before You Did This Your Post WILL Be Removed!
The role would include;
> Worldguarding
> forum moderation (access given)
> Making sure guests to the server register to the website and gain build permissions
> General assistance on the server
> Sorting out the fools that play on our server
> Keeping the peace
> Making sure everyone enjoys their time on our server
> Server promotion
Requirements;
> You Must have Team Speak 3 and a microphone.
> You will need to be a sensible and mature individual
> A Respected member from the Minecraft server
> You must know how to talk to people in the correct manner and address situations correctly
> You must be a team player
> You must be able to cope under pressure
> You must be a member of the Slap Gaming Facebook Group
> You must be on Teamspeak at all times when you are playing on the Minecraft Server
If you were successful and became a Moderator, don't just think 'oh i have the increased permissions so I'll enjoy that and not help people' this will not be the case.
You will be made a moderator for the reasons above, not so you can enjoy being able to teleport, and jumpto, and grant things.
This also applies to current moderators, if you are caught at any point declining to assist other users because your doing something for yourself you will lose your moderator status

Eerr well iv been playing on the server for a few months and i realy want to help out more. Im very active im on nearly all day on weekends and quite alot during the week im very good with working in a team so i would get along well with the other mods. Im also fast at learning new commands. And err ye :P

I joined this server about 3 months ago and have really like playing on this server on talking to the community ever since.
I have moderated another server before with 100 people on in a day, its not easy but i feel I am mature enough to do it,
I currently live and was born in the US as you are looking for moderators in the US i feel i can fill a position you need by helping those who also live in the US or near by when all of you English folk are offline. Thanks for reading (if you do) hope i get to be a mod,

I'm hbmann and some of you know me as a member,
which played a long time on this server.
It's the only server I ever played on (exept my own shitty one :D )
And now after circa 3/4 year I played on here I thought it is time to increase my permissions :/
I'm able to use WorldGuard and Permissions Ex and I think I'll can keep the peace.
Jack, as you know, I have a mic and vent.

Hello, This is my application to become a moderator for the Slap-Gaming Minecraft Server.
I am from the US(east coast -5), so I am on when most people aren't =). Even thought I have only been a part of the Slap-Gaming community for just a few days I think that I would make a good addition to the server by becoming a moderator. I am very responsible, mature and when someone needs help, I drop what I am doing to help them out. I am very polite and act well under stressful situations. I also have a mic which is always good. =) I hope you take me into consideration, thanks!

Hey, I'm Brent or 10ebbor10 on the server. I have been playing minecraft a long time and have been a member of the server since day one. (I remember that they needed to convince Jack to buy Minecraft, and look at him now.) And I have been a Slapmember for I think a year and a half now. Ow yeah, I'm from Belgium so application for an European moderator. :)

Thought I would put in a Mod app. Been on the server for a bit now, Have a mic so no problem there. Was a moderator on Flux Gaming ( now closed down) for a long time. I enjoyed it, I like helping others, I also like being able to deal with the idiots that think greifing is OK ( be it physical or verbal griefing). Im in The Eastern Time Zone. I would love to come and help out the community more often i know the basic world guard commands so you wont have to teach me and i have been head admin on another server before i found this one. i have vent and a mic so i can speak when ever needed. i an british live in england.

I've been on this server for a while now, so i thought: why not?
eh, I like to help others. Also, I know how to use Worldedit, so worldguarding shouldn't be that hard.
I may have been a troll/annoying, but i think i can be more mature if i get promoted.
++ I can do a lil' java, so i can help naith programming. (already doing that, sort of :P)

Also i am verry active on vent because i like to talk with people
I have a lot of exp with many plugins since i used to co-own my own server but since its down i am lucky to came out here thanks to nait

Hey, jack... I've been playing on the server a while now, and I really wanted to have practice moderating a server besides one where I know everyone in real life. I'm normally pretty active on the server, and I will be able to go on much more in march-april, and then on. I know a lot of commands from my own server, and am always willing to learn more. Hopefully, I will be able to donate more to the server soon. I am 13 years old, have a mic and Vent, and really REALLY want to be a mod on my favorite server. Yes, that means Slap. I live in the US and was born there as well. Also, I will be free to play a ton more during May, so if I am to become a mod, then is the best time for me to officially start. That's when my advanced classes end, and so most of my homework goes away as well.

Ive been on the server for a while now. Im active, i help out a lot of Builders, and I try my best to help with server (Clock, Bank). I'm an active forums member. I know World Edit and SPC well so i have an idea of how to WG.

i play ALOT of wow (ask cisy_h) but ive got the time to help out on mc
im only active in noon because I raid in the evenings.
I know how all those things work like wg-ing
and btw I played on the server for a half a year now and i still enjoy it very much

I live in the US and I absolutely LOVE the server. I love being social (in minecraft) and love helping others. I will always make everybody happy on the server, and try to fix every problem i see in Slap-Gaming. I have multiple friends, i have had multiple problems with people stealing and griefing me, and if i were a mod, i wouldn't have to worry, along with every other minecraft on slap-gaming. My username is billysmithy. I would love if you considered for me to be a mod on the server!

You can see I'm playing on this server for a while and having fun with it.
It would be nice if I could help people on the server to have the same experience as me.
I've never been a minecraft moderater before, but I can learn much of it.
You can always ask me to go on ventrilo, I'm also part of the facebook group :).
The server is for me a daily time I like, and I'm online almost everyday.
VIP is my rank now but I like to be moderater.

Hello slap gaming people its fixterjake11 and im applying to become a MOD on the Slap Gaming MC server.
I have vent and im in it usually when im playing on the server, I have been gone from the server for a while (bought a server then it died **sadface**) but im back and am playing on it a lot more actively then before. I have kept up with the Facebook page so I know most of the changes that have happened.
I am a sort of old player, join in late December and I usually talk to who ever is online and wants to talk. I am 15 years old and live on the eastcoast of the US and can cover 8pm GMT-2am GMT because of school but when school ends I will be able to cover 1pm GMT - 2am GMT.
I have moderated some servers none as big as Slap and as I said before I used to own a server till it died so I know how to deal with the annoying fools who join. I love to help people its just what I like to do and it makes me feel good when I help a new person get a plot to build a house or anything like that. I have experience with WorldGaurd and PEX so I know all the commands for that and any other commands I am a fast learner. I am a part of the Facebook group as said before so I can keep up with that stuff.
