just awesome :)
Looks good, but I haven't seen any multiplayer footage yet :/
the graphics are simply, more then i'd ever ask for... another 5 years and battlefield will have a freaking full body suit with real life fucking graphics if they keep this up...
probely will be better then mw3 if your looking for graphics and real life situations like building destruction and such.. we'll see
in summer i am gonna work for 1 month and 2 weeks
i will earn €1650,-
and with that money i wanna buy a new pc :D
so i am gonna enjoy Battlefield 3 WOOT
Now that's dedication!
Seems pretty cool but would really love to see improvements in the graphics of Battlefield 3.
Looking forward to that...
what's wrong with the graphics? better then mw3 :o
Everything about it is better than MW3....
Looks gut.
Does anyone know the official specs? cuz my graphics card is probably not gonna cope atm ^^
(got - let's say Intel i5-750 and Ati Radeon 5450 HD -.-)
wont be able to tell you definate specs but i know for defiante that its gonna be a Quad core you need, and i dont mean a dual with hyper threading (as hyperthreading has no effect in games) but a proper quad, and im expecting it to need at least 4Gb of ram to itself and maybe even 2GB Vram, depending on how high res the textures are.
Ill know more when the Beta is released
With that you must mean the i5? I have the 4gb ram though..Quote:

there is no where near enough Vram, 512 mb just wont cut it, plus it has very low core count it has 80 ATI cores, which is equivelent to 20 Nvidia cores, basically i know this wont cut it because my 4gen old graphics card isnt going to cut it either and that has 1gb Vram and 112 Nvidia cores lol
below is an explanation of the cores from another post of mine:
the core count in ATI cards is different to Nvidias way, to get a comparison
times Nvidia cores by 4 to get them relative to ATI cards
or
Divide ATI cores by 4 to get Nvidia lol
so
100 Nvidia cores would roughly be 400 Ati Cores if that helps
Ok sorry i've been so vague about my specs but I checked and it was a 5450 HD 1024mb. Still gonna have to buy a new one though, I was thinking of a Nvidia GTX250 (maybe a little better, but something similar anyway). Thanks for the clarification though :P
Edit: I've read on some forums that a 560ti is a good budget card for running BF3 properly (Maxing out is not a neccessity for me anyway) .. Would that be true? Cuz as you might've noticed, I'm not so much of an expert ;p (never actually upgraded my card since I only have my own computer for two years) so I would greatly appreciate more advice ^^ Thanks for so far though Aux (:
I played the BF3 alpha over the summer (end of august at a lan party. i43 to be exact). It was awesomesauce. Graphically its sweet as fook, gameplay is awesome and very much as close to grabbing a gun IRL and going out to slot some terrorists as you can possibly get!! The new Frostbite engine is fantastic. I think the machines they had it running on were i7 2600k with dual 560GTX in sli. Thats about as much as I can remember as I was as giddy as a kid at christmas waiting to unwrap my presents!!
Why all these problems, if you can't run you can always turn the specs down lol
Its always nice to give it a once over in gorgeous mode first before dulling it down to Final fantasy 7 style polygon mode!!
my new PC for BF3 is getting expensive now...
im essentially spending £700 on 1 game... xD

the human eye can only recognise the maximum of 35FPS.Quote:

Its actually closer to 100fps Jackstaa. There isn't an exact science to it, but I have a good example for you. I'm a migraine sufferer. If I have a headache, it can be pushed over into a full blown migraine by working under strip lighting. This type of lighting flickers with the frequency of the electricity mains (which is 59hz) I am capable of seeing this flicker. CRT monitors on 60Hz give the same issue. I have to adjust the refresh to 75Hz to avoid this!
Yeah I can deffinitely notice the flicker on strip lighting
I just got an invitation for the closed beta, yay me
Goddamnit it's open beta
I PLAYED IT AT LUNCHTIME AND ITS AWESOME!!!!!
(Capslock, cruise control for cool :P )
