actually , you can get unbanned. Such as this case.
All that this shows is that the server moderators, and other staff, have a good eye at judging when to ban someone. The point of this section is for people who are wrongly banned in the event of a misjudgement by a member of the server staff - the fact that very few people get unbanned just shows they don't misjudge things very often.

Samden as previously stated you have been banned for griefing.

As iainj rightly said ban appeals are in place to give people who have been wrongly banned chance to appeal.
