Why can't I use this enchanted book?

those enchantments cant be added to the same item as they're all damage multiplying, you can only use one.

Smite IV is what you want if your going to be fighting mobs in general
Sharpness III is what you want for fighting players
Bane Of Arthopods isn't really worth it with how little arhropods there are in game, and also they generally have less health than undead which smite effects.

alright, but i should be able to add fire aspect and looting to the smite sword right?
