i still prefer custom huds before the default the custom hud removes loads of clutter of the playing screen imho.
im using also a custom config btw. generated one here http://clugu.com/tf2mate/
it boosted my performance hugely only thing im still playing with is the viewmodel_fov its looking weird for some classes

My performance cannot be boosted anymore. It has hit the peak of professionalism and can no longer rise any more. It's like the top of the graph except it's past that. But I'm going to take a look none the less. Any sites you advice for this sort of stuff other than the ones above?

nope not any more sites the site for some performance boosting has several options to choose from i would suggest dont overdo it with maxpref.
oh and for gui`s and other tf stuff http://gamebanana.com/ all custom stuff xD
